Demineralization Plant is basically used to reduce TDS up to required level. Resins are used for removal of organic as well as inorganic contamination present in the water source to achieve the industrial water norms. The resins used are in the form of H+ and OH-. Normally DM plants are used for boiler water, cooling towers, pre treatment plants for paint shop etc. These plants are designed based on the raw water parameters and the expected treated water parameters.
Plants available in different MOC like FRP, MSLR etc.
Ion exchange resins used for the process are:
- Weak Acid Cation (WAC)-Cations with Alkalinity
- Strong Acid Cation (SAC)-All Cations
- Weak Base Anion (WBA)-E.M.A Ions
- Strong Base Anion (SBA)-All Anions+Silica
- Mixed Bed (MB)-Removes balance ions
- Degasser (DGT)-CO2 Removal
- Base Exchangers (Softeners)-Ca and Mg removal
